About She Has A Name
She Has A Name exists because we believe in the inherent value of every human being.
We strive for a world where all those impacted by human trafficking know their value and therefore, thrive. Our programming focuses on responding to human trafficking through education and care for those impacted.
Last year She Has A Name:
- Trained 679 people through 24 training sessions
- Awarded 14 survivor scholarships for a total investment of $21,652
- Educated 143 solicitors through the Solicitor Education Program
Why do we focus on education?
Prevention & Early Detection
With an accurate understanding of what human trafficking is and how it happens, professionals are able to interrupt cycles of exploitation. Parents are able to equip their kids to stay safe online. And teens realize the difference between healthy vs. abusive relationships.
Why do we care for survivors AND solicitors? Restoration Survivors in advanced recovery (thrivers) are looking for opportunities to earn livable wages with dignified jobs. They have dreams they can’t wait to realize. We will never end the problem of human trafficking without addressing the complex reasons that people purchase sex or view explicit content.
2024 Dream Scholarship recipient Willow K. shares, "Thank you SO much for your support! SHAN was a huge catalyst in getting me to realize I don’t have to push aside my dreams and goals because I deserve to live a good life!"
Our Vision for 2026
PREVENTION EDUCATION
Many agencies that directly interact with potential victims of trafficking haven’t heard about our comprehensive Human Trafficking 101. When we can recognize the signs and report suspicious cases, we end exploitation and break cycles of poverty.
Will you invest in education to equip more professionals to identify and appropriately respond to exploitation?
SURVIVOR CARE
Thanks to your support we are able to financially and relationally support our students. Because of your donations, we opened the Spring 2026 applications and are promoting them throughout the country.
Will you join us and send more survivors through school?
SOLICITOR CARE
She Has A Name learned about the prevalence of childhood trauma among sex buyers. “Let’s Talk About Buying Sex…(And Watching It Too)” - our sex trafficking demand reduction curriculum - is poised to connect with men’s groups. Will you change the conversation about cultural acceptance of sexual exploitation?
